Avocado Ranch Dressing

Avocado Ranch Dressing

If you like Ranch dressing and you like avocado, then you’ll love this new recipe for Avocado Ranch Dressing!

It has all the herby flavors and creaminess of ranch, without the dairy, MSG (true story), or other unhealthy additives found in traditional ranch dressing.

This Avocado Ranch is a one-bowl recipe, takes all of five minutes to make, and then you have a versatile delicious dressing/sauce/dip on hand all week long.

Let’s start with the ingredients…

I love avocado. You love avocado. Who doesn’t love avocado!? My tip for this recipe is be sure to get a ripe one, which is what gives the dressing its creaminess. And you’ll need only 1/4 cup, about half a medium-sized avocado.

Tahini is the other staple in this recipe. Tahini is sesame seed butter. I like Seed + Mill tahini, which can be ordered online and found at some Whole Foods locations, at least in the NY area. Seed + Mill also has a shop in NY’s Chelsea Market.

Next is the herbs ~ I like a combo of fresh herbs, such as parsley, cilantro and even a little dill. A little dill goes a long way, so I use less of that and more of the others. But knock yourself out with whichever herbs you like best!

And let’s not forget lemon, which adds a fresh bright flavor here, as citrus alway does.

The only other ingredients are garlic power, salt & pepper. Easy!

Now what can you do with Avocado Ranch Dressing?

The question isn’t what can you do with Avocado Ranch Dressing. It’s what CAN’T you do with Avocado Ranch Dressing.

Salads, dips for chips or crudités, on grain bowls, with grilled anything, with falafel, and more.

And the dressing can be thinned out with water for drizzling on salads and bowls, or kept thicker to use as a dip or sandwich spread.

Where and how can you use this recipe for Tahini Ranch?

  • as your new favorite salad dressing
  • as a dip for chips & crudités
  • on grilled seafood or meat
  • with vegetable kabobs
  • on wraps & sammies
  • on tacos & tostadas
  • for pasta salad
