Ingredients
Instructions
  1. heat oven to 350°, line a large sheet pan with parchment paper and spread nuts out on pan
  2. bake until toasty and fragrant, 10 – 15 minutes: TIP: watch that they do not burn, and some nuts may roast quicker than others, so I separate them out on the pan (or use different pans) for each type of nut
  3. while nuts are still warm add to a food processor or high-powered blender and blend until creamy; this will take up to 10-15 minutes, so be patient! And you can add melted coconut oil 1 teaspoon at a time until nut butter is creamy
  4. once creamy, add in flaxseed, maple (if using), cinnamon and sea salt
  5. to make breakfast toast, spread on toasted bread, top with sliced apple or banana, then sprinkle with hemp seeds and extra cinnamon
  6. store nut butter in a jar at room temperature, or refrigerate for long-term storage
